Abstract
The method of measuring the neutron β-decay lifetime τβ by storage of ultra-cold neutrons (UCN) with simultaneous recording of inelastically scattered neutrons is presented. The result of the measurement is τβ [s]=885.4±0.9stat±0.4syst.
