Model of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Layer for Cloud Computing and Mission Critical Applications

The paper deals with creation of model for Cloud Computing with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). IaaS is based on a common network infrastructure with physical servers (hosts), which can be installed in various locations of the cloud. The virtualization software, called “Hypervisor”, creates a group of available virtual resources through physical infrastructure, which can be offered to customers. The main focus is paid on creation of numeric model, which would enable a proper sizing of cloud infrastructure for hardware provisioning, according to customer requirements. In addition, the model has been extended to include the requirements of mission critical systems with real time behavior and fail-safe features.
