  • Abstract
Today, one of the most favorite power supply sources are photovoltaic systems which are used in several industries such as space instruments, hybrid vehicle etc. in addition of domestic usage. In spite of decreasing the price of photovoltaic panels in recent decades, they are still expensive. Also, depending of the photovoltaic panels output on irradiance and ambient temperature, it needs to build the simulator of photovoltaic panel to analyses their performance in different situations. In this paper it is tried to design a simulator photovoltaic panel as the main part of the power supply subsystem in satellites. As it is difficult to analyze the behavior of satellites in the space, this simulator can be useful in space industry. This simulator is designed using Matlab according to simulating model of photovoltaic systems and saves the output in the look up table and in attention to load which is connected to the system defines the output voltage and current. This process is controlled by a controller. The simulator can simulate the max power point tracker and is able to give the max power to the system.
