Abstract :
A detailed electron backscattering analysis in Si(Li) detectors was done in order to evaluate the response function of the Mini-Orange Spectrometer. The analysis was performed via Monte Carlo simulations and by measuring the energy and the angular dependencies without and with the insertion of the Mini-Orange Spectrometer in the detection system, combining data taken with a continuous β− source (90Sr) with those from discrete electron transitions of an electron conversion source (207Bi).
le but accurate method is described to determine the transmission function T(E) of the Mini-Orange.
