  • Abstract
    The silicon vertex detector (SVD) for the BELLE detector for the KEK B-factory project has been constructed and commissioned successfully. In this report, the design and construction of the SVD are first described. The result of the first one-month operation is then presented. Finally plans for upgrading the SVD are discussed.
