Future detectors for e+e− linear colliders

Detectors for future e+e− colliders JLC, NLC and TESLA are described. The design philosophy is similar in all three cases since it derives from e+e− experience of the last three decades. The ECFA/DESY Study of Physics and Detector for a Linear Collider is used as an example for the rationale going into the details. The detector is also suited for e−e− physics because of its very good coverage of the forward direction.
