Abstract
Several versions of SMT printed circuit units (PCUs), intended to pick up and process preliminary signals of high-impedance sources, such as wire chambers, photodiodes, photoelectron multipliers and so on, are considered. The figures in this paper particularly present 8-channel units measuring 110×30 mm2 and 16-channel ones measuring 90×40 mm2. Each channel is a series connection of a preamplifier, shaper and comparator. The basic characteristics of these units are presented. Also, the units of a constant fraction discriminator and a high-speed splitter are considered.
