Abstract
Particle detectors are increasingly being used to detect radiation from the universe. The merits of neutrino radiation for astronomical observations has since long been realised, as well as the difficulties. A handful of telescopes for high-energy neutrinos from cosmic sources are now at different stages of realisation. The status of the Baikal, AMANDA, ANTARES and NESTOR telescopes is given, including some first results. Plans for a proposed array with km3 dimensions, IceCube, are presented.
