Abstract :
GridPix detectors have been tested in prototype time projection chambers for photon detection and tracking detectors. They showed an energy resolution of about 5% for photon detection. For tracking detectors a single point resolution close to the single electron diffusion limit could be obtained. A process for the production of GridPix detectors on whole wafers has been developed. Detectors from this production process on wafer scale have been tested.
