Are the stored currents in an electron storage ring classical or non-classical?

The magnitude of quantum zero-point vibration is estimated in terms of the amplitudes of synchrotron oscillation and betatron oscillation in an electron storage ring. It is found that the obtained amplitudes are not negligible when a free electron laser in X-ray region is considered.
