Experience with Hera-B triggering

The design and performance of the Hera-B trigger system are discussed. The entire Hera-B trigger chain has been operated for the first time during the year 2000, despite the ongoing commissioning phase of several detector and trigger components. Current discrepancies between measurements and design figures are significant, particularly at the first trigger level, but they are expected to be resolved before the upcoming running period. The higher trigger levels and the data acquisition system have been operated close to design expectations and routinely used for data production.
