  • Abstract
    We report the first results from a spherical grating monochromator for the linear undulator beamline (hν=26–300 eV) at a compact 700 MeV electron-storage ring (HiSOR) at Hiroshima University. The Rydberg series of Ne (hν∼48 eV) up to n=20 and the double excitation spectrum of He (hν∼65 eV) up to n=20+have been observed. The maximum energy resolving power (E/ΔE) at hν∼65 eV is estimated to be >16,000 with the photon flux >1010 photons/s.
