Abstract :
We report on further developments of the optical design of the Russian–German soft X-ray beamline at BESSY II. Ray-tracing calculations reveal state-of-the-art characteristics of the modified layout. Resolving power up to 25 000 and photon flux up to 3×1010 photons/s/100 mA will be available for spectroscopic experiments. Technical details of operation of the precision mechanics used for fine adjustment of the first mirror are presented.
