Micro pattern structures for gas detectors

Gas detectors with an electrode-structure in the micrometer range, mostly produced by the lithographic technique, are called “Micro Pattern Detectors”. In the very recent past, a great variety of these detector types have been developed. A survey of their structures and some characteristics will be presented. A more detailed description is given in several other contributions of this conference
