Testing and quality insurance during the construction of the SVXII silicon detector

The SVXII project for the CDF Run II silicon tracker is completed. A total of 180 ladders have been installed resulting in 400,000 readout channels. The project has already been described in all of its components. Ladder fabrication was completed within eight months. Production peaks up to 15 ladders a week were achieved but delivery of components limited the average rate to 32 modules a month. This paper gives an overview of the ladder assembly process and describes the procedures and results of the electrical testing. An overall description of the quality of the final detector delivered to the CDF experiment is also presented.
