Abstract :
This paper is devoted to a theoretical analysis of the dynamical properties of a Storage Ring Free Electron Laser in the presence of an imperfect synchronism between the electron bunch and the laser pulse at each pass inside the optical cavity. The resulting “cw” and pulsed regimes are investigated in detail for the case of the Super-ACO Free Electron Laser. Numerical results are shown to be in good agreement with experimental data.
