  • Abstract
In this paper, we address the sensitivity of the so-called δ phase (CP- and T-violation). In particular, we are interested in the behavior of the CP-violating term in the oscillation probability as a function of the baseline and of the muon energy. We get to the conclusion that, if the ratio L/Eμ is kept constant, the δ-phase sensitivity only grows linearly with muon energy for baselines smaller than 4000 km. So, in the hypothesis of constant machine power (i.e. number of muons inversely proportional to muon energy), the sensitivity is independent of the baseline chosen. ssibility of measuring the charge of the electron in a magnetized high-granularity neutrino detector would allow performing a direct measurement of T-violation from the “wrong-sign” electron channel. Since the direction of the electron curvature has to be estimated before the start of the electromagnetic shower, low-energy neutrino beams are clearly preferred.
