Abstract
In the context of the latest (79.5 kTy) Super-Kamiokande atmospheric neutrino data, we present an updated analysis of the mass and mixing parameters relevant for two-, three-, and four-family neutrino mixing. Oscillations in the νμ→ντ channel clearly emerge as the dominant mechanism responsible for the atmospheric νμ anomaly, with no significant indication for subdominant mixing with electron or sterile neutrinos. Upper bounds on subdominant mixing angles are also discussed.
