Abstract
A scenario that bunches an elongated muon bunch whose energy decreases towards the tail is discussed. The bunching system has to handle a time-dependent central energy, and thus must change its amplitude rapidly. Such a rapid amplitude change can be achieved by the superposition of a few frequency components. The bunching system, located after 100 m from a production target, can bunch a muon beam of 100 MeV±50% with 200 MHz RF, and a 100 MHz bunched muon beam is obtained at the 200 m position.
