Abstract
The early days of low temperature detectors are an entanglement between particle physics, astronomy and low-temperature physics. They are traced from 1903 to the first of the LTD meetings, “LTD-zero”, which took place at the Groupe de Physique des Solides in Paris, in April 1983.
