Thick targets for the production of some radionuclides and the chemical processing of these targets at iThemba LABS

iThemba Laboratory for Accelerated Based Sciences is a multi-disciplinary research centre, operated by the National Research Foundation. It provides national accelerator and ancillary facilities for research and training in physical, biomedical, chemical and material sciences, research in, and the treatment of, cancer with energetic neutrons and protons. Radionuclides are produced for use in research and industry, and to prepare various radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging at nuclear medicine centers.
