A view on the detection of short ER-α-SF sequences with a PIPS detector

When detecting rare decay events of superheavy nuclei with silicon PIPS detector one unfortunately deals with not only multi-chain events but also it is registering events involving multiple decay chains that allow researchers to obtain data of good statistical significance. In the case of limited number of decay chains these estimates are more complicated. In the present paper, a method of analysis of ER-α-SF events is presented. Examples from practical experiments are presented too.
