  • Abstract
    YAG:Re3+ (Re3+=Ce, Eu)-shaped crystals were grown by the EFG/Stepanov technique. The method is useful for the economics of single crystals of high value materials, in decreasing the waste of materials, and to make possible the production of complex-shaped crystals. Luminescence of the YAG:RE fibers is investigated.
