Abstract :
An electromagnetic calorimeter based on liquid xenon allows one to measure the coordinates of a photon conversion point and the rate of energy loss of charge particles. The spatial resolution obtained with cosmic ray particles varied from 0.7 to 1.6 mm depending on the calorimeter layer number. The electronic noise for cathode channels was measured to be 2000e.
