Position sensitive detectors for astroparticle physics

Instruments used for astroparticle physics studies require position sensitivity for a number of reasons, including conventional sky imaging, event characterisation and motion sensing. Some examples will be given by looking at a few specific examples of projects within different discipline areas within astroparticle physics. This review will not be comprehensive but is designed to illustrate the rich variety of requirements and techniques within the field in general.
