Challenges of Incorporating Co-Generation Technology in Nigeria Power System

Cogeneration or Combined heat and Power (CHP) is the simultaneous production of electricity and heat using a single fuel such as natural gas, coal, waste gas, biomass liquid fuels and renewable, with a view to practical application of both products. This paper examines the challenges of incorporating cogeneration technology in Nigeria Power Network. These ranges from technology, government policies to skilled man power. However, recommendations were made in tackling some of these challenges for the overall improvement of power generation in Nigeria.
