Abstract :
The control of nitrogen has become extremely important in view of its influence in deep drawability of low carbon steel. The process of absorption and desorption of nitrogen in steel is controlled by not so well understood interfacial reactions. Basic phenomena of nitrogen pick up and removal has been reviewed in the- present paper.
