  • Abstract
    The simulation model AGROSIM-Winter Wheat for the development, the growth and the grain yield formation for a standing crop of winter wheat is described. It operates for the period from sowing in autumn till harvest and includes features for carbon, nitrogen and water balance. The model is tested and run with experimental data from the north German Krummbach catchment. The necessary adaptations are described and discussed. Finally the use of so-called simple approaches or models is argued.
