Status and Security of Accounting Information Systems in Iranian Organizations

In todays world, the speed of access to information on sustainable development of economic institutions and economic decisions of users is vital. What is important for bank and companies and institutions managers is the knowledge of the company events and handle problems quickly and identify opportunities. Meanwhile, the accounting information system is a powerful tool that facilitates progress, efficiency and effectiveness of the reporting process. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the status and security of accounting information systems in organizations. At the beginning the accounting information systems is presented. The status of Accounting Information Systems in Organizations and the reasons for lack of proper accounting information systems in organizations are discussed. Then the security of accounting information systems and a variety of attacks and security threats in the system and data protection are described. Significant advances in data processing technology has created an effective impact on information systems. Finally, the new horizons in accounting information systems that can be considered are cited.
