Abstract :
This research probes the critical success factors of e-learning service centers. In the research
process, which reviews theories presented in the literature, the researcher discovers and
generalizes possible main factors that contribute to the successful operation of e-learning
service centers and dimensions of success. Through interviews with internal personnel in
model enterprises and through the process of triangulation, this study interprets and
validates these factors. According to the research findings, the critical success factors of elearning service centers include national culture, operational environments, learning
mechanisms, learners’ views and instructors’ views, while learning intention, learning
effectiveness, learning satisfaction and the creation of profits are the dimensions used to
measure the success of an e-learning service center. The research findings can serve as
references for educational training units, enterprises or governmental units when
implementing e-learning projects or activities.
