Abstract :
In classical perspectives of financial, human and social capital was the most important
factors to organizations success, but in recent years, attention has been paid to the people
positive attributes that cause to make a capital called psychological capital. The purpose of
this research is to determine the relationship between psychological capital and
organizational citizenship behavior. This study is descriptive and correlation type. This
studyʹs statistical population consists of all education employees of Bushehr. The data
were collected from160 people selected in multi stage randomly method. Questionnaire
was used to determine the relationship of psychological capital and organizational
citizenship behavior. Results showed that there was significant relationship between
psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior. Also, there was significant
relationship between all dimensions of psychological capital (hope, optimism, self-efficacy,
and resiliency) and organizational citizenship behavior. Regression analysis showed that
there was significant multiple relationship between predictive variables and
organizational citizenship behavior. Among predictive variables the best predictors were
hope and optimism, respectively. Psychological capital plays a positive role in promoting
flexibility and optimism and ultimately will lead to increased organizational citizenship
behavior.
