Abstract :
The purpose of this action research was increasing creativity of students. Participants were
high school students in the first grade (seventh grade). For the entire first part of the book
Science (12 pages) Teaching scenario considering teaching model of Synectic or in
combination with other teaching models provided by the teacher researcher. After teaching
all the first part of the book, in order to evaluate the action, a teacher made achievement test
was performed based on the creativity of the students. Comparison of scores of pupils who
were educated based on creative methods with the mean score of a class of students who were
trained with traditional methods, showed significant differences. The students who were
trained with Synectic Model in response to questions that science is based on the creative
aspects of the design were better.
