Atomic ratios determined by EELS under parallel and convergent illumination conditions

The atomic ratios measured by means of electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) are not influenced by the convergence of the illumination, provided that the illumination semi-angle is smaller than the collection semi-angle. The main correction is due to plural scattering.
