Abstract :
The purpose of this paper was to investigate the relationship between meaning and spirituality at work with psychological well-being with considers mediating role of positive affect in two custom organizations in Esfahan and Tehran, Iran. In this paper, the authors propose that positive affect is a mediating variable between meaning and spirituality at work with psychological well-being. Using the stratified random sampling method 204 participants was selected as the sample of this study. This study is a descriptive correlation survey. Meaning and spirituality at work, psychological well-being and positive affect questionnaires were used to collect the related and necessary data. The reliability coefficients of these questionnaires were 0.95, 0.84, 0.93 and 0.94 respectively. To do data analysis several tests including Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling were used. The results indicate that there are significant relationships between meaning and spirituality at work with positive affect and with psychological well-being respectively. Also there is a significant relationship between positive affect with psychological well-being. Results of structural equation modeling revealed that positive affect is a partial mediator in the relationship between meaning and spirituality at work with psychological well-being. Results of current research showed that meaning and spirituality at work firstly reinforce positive affect and then positive affect reinforce psychological well-being respectively.
