The Relationship between MIS Dimensions and Organizational Entrepreneurship in S.S.S.O. (Shiraz Social Security Organization)

In any organization, there is a management information system which undertakes the control and remaking information in the environment and inter-organizational operations in order to provide the necessary information needed for a manager to make decision, plan and control for the organization as a whole. On the other hand there is an organizational entrepreneurship, a process when passes through the organization, empower employees doing their tasks as an entrepreneur. In this research, the relationship between the management information system and organizational entrepreneurship was investigated in Shiraz social Security organization (SSSO); in an era in which the information and communication technology is considered as one of its vital features. The purpose of this research was to give some techniques to the social Security organization employees in order to use the management information system creatively to give better services throughout the organizational advancement. The research was done by using correlation method. The population was all the employees of social Security organization among them 240 persons were selected as sample via random sampling out of 400. The standard questionnaire of Ahituv and Newman for management information system and the standard questionnaire of G.fox for organizational entrepreneurship were distributed among them. Out of 240 distributed questionnaires, 205 were returned; consequently, after collecting information and data analyzing, a meaningful relationship between organizational entrepreneurship and dimensions of management information system were obtained thus inferring that management information system predict the organizational entrepreneurship for SSSO and could do the same for that of other organizations.
