Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between organizational
communications and organizational salience. The statistical population of this study
includes employees of university of Isfahan. The population consists of 850 members. A
sample of 260 employees was selected. The sample size was determined through Morgan
sampling table. In order to collect the research data, the researcher-developed questionnaire
of organizational communications and standardized questionnaire of organizational silence
(Bahramian, 2012) were used. The validity of questionnaire was examined through face
validity and its reliability was examined through Cronbachs’ Alpha Coefficient. The
coefficient was 0.84 for organizational communications and 0.79 for organizational silence
questionnaire. In order to test the research hypotheses, Amos was employed. The findings
revealed that organizational communications and its dimensions (vertical, horizontal, and
interpersonal communications) influence organizational silence significantly. This means
that higher levels of organizational communications results in less organizational salience.
