Abstract :
Background: considering organizational culture results in progress and achieving organizationʹs goals and besides in a society that Islam comes after the republic the organizational culture and work ethic must be in relation to each other as they are in line with Islamic principles. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between Denison organizational culture and Islamic work ethic. Methods: This was a descriptive correlational study and the statistical population was among 1,051 employees of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences of which 281 were selected as sample. Two questionnaires were used to collect data from Denison (2007) for the organizationʹs culture and a questionnaire was made by the researcher for Islamic ethics. Results: The study showed that the work ethic of the components of organizational culture (364/0) has positive relation with model of Denisonʹs mission compatibility and partnership and has negative relation with integrity. Conclusion: Denison organizational culture model can prognosticate the work ethic of the University of Medical Sciences, but as the relationship between these two variables is not very strong the prediction cannot be so strong too.
