Abstract :
A study has been made of the formation of grain boundary character distributions (GBCDs) in dynamically and statically recrystallized AISI type 304 stainless steel. The influence of the type of recrystallization on the multiple twinning process determining GBCD in 304 stainless steel and the role of GBCD in the deformation behaviour of this steel at room and high temperatures are investigated and discussed.
