Abstract
Microstructure and magnetic properties of Fe89Zr7B4 nanocrystalline material have been studied in the temperature range 4.2–550 K. It has been shown that conventional magnetization measurements and Mössbauer spectroscopy give consistent results on the volumetric fraction of the constituent phases. In the Mössbauer spectra, besides of the contributions from bcc-Fe crystalline phase and that of the residual amorphous matrix, an additional component was observed and attributed to the crystalline grain-amorphous matrix interfaces. Magnetic behavior of the interfacial layer and its changes with temperature are also discussed.
