Morphology of Fe–Cr alloys

Using transmission electron microscopy, X-ray analysis and Vickers hardness measurements, the structure of Fe–10, 20, 30, 40 and 47 wt% Cr alloys was studied in the temperature range from 550 to 1400°C. The structural results allowed us to construct the T–c metastable diagram for these compositions. The diagram differs considerably from the well-known stable one.
