Abstract :
In a double-notch specimen cut from a copper single crystal, dislocation glide on a (010) non-compact crystal plane was generated by compressive creep in regions near a notch edge, outside the zone of shear. This glide probably substituted a successive glide of a/2<110>dislocations on two {111} planes in the bi-axial stress field. Dislocation structures on the (010) plane were investigated by transmission electron microscopy.
