Abstract
The magnetoresistance (MR) is but one of several anomalies in electronic transport properties of quasicrystals. However, it is an exceptional one since only in this case a large part of the results can be quantitatively described within an existing theoretical framework. Evidence is discussed that quantum interference effects (QIE) describe observations in alloys with resistivity ρ(4 K)≤0.1 Ω cm. This is useful for understanding electronic transport in quasicrystals. Examples of information derived from QIE are given.
