Abstract :
Three different techniques were used to test the electrochemical capacity of some hydrogen storage alloys and, on the basis of experimental results, a reasonable technique was recommended. The capacity determined from pressure-composition-temperature (P-C-T) data is higher than that from electrochemical measurement; however, improving the P-C-T capacity helps to increase the electrochemical capacity of Ml(NiMnCoTi)5. The measurement of the electrochemical capacity relates closely to the discharging current density, and the discharge capacity decreases with increasing discharge current density.
