Abstract :
We studied optical spectra of directly synthesized trans-polyacetylene films. Reflection and resonance Raman spectra show that effective conjugation length distribution has longer average length and narrower width than that of ordinary thermoisomerized films. Moreover, ESR spectra show that directly synthesized films have fewer defects than ordinary thermoisomerized films.
