Abstract
Two distinc conducting polyaniline phases are found in the solution and in solid state. These two phases were characterized by their optical spectra, X-ray diffraction patterns and electrical conductivities. The solid state properties of polyaniline processed from solution are determined by the conformation of PANI chains in solution which, in turn, is determined by the interaction between the PANI chain, the counter-ion, solvent and the co-solvent.
