Abstract :
The polymerisation of poly(p-phenylenevinylene) 3 (PPV), traditionally done in aqueous solution, can also be performed in the dispersed phase. The dispersion could be formed using either a high speed stirrer or a Vibromixer®. Polymers with molar masses in excess of 100,000 Da were obtained. The photoluminescence spectra of the polymers are reported.
