Abstract
A cobalt complex of poly(9-hexylfluorene), [PHF-Co(C5Me5)]Clx, and a rodium complex of poly(1-hexylindene), [PHI-Rh(C5Me5)]PF6 were prepared and their electrochemical properties investigated. Quasi-reversible reduction of complex sites in PHF-Co(C5Me5)+ occurs at −1.10 V vs Ag/Ag+, whereas the oxidation due to a formation of the polaronic state is irreversible. Reuction of PHI-Rh(C5Me5)+ occurs at −1.65 V vs Ag/Ag+, which is irreversible contrary to the corresponding monomeric complex.
