Abstract :
Water increases electrical conductivity of polyaniline. A simple method of the conductivity measurement for determining the diffusion coefficient D of water in conducting polymer matrices is presented in this work. The geometry of the conducting polymer samples can vary in wide range and the initial water content can be totally arbitrary. With the method based on the general theory D(H2O) in protonated polyaniline was measured to be ca. 5×10−10 cm2/s at room temperature which is in a good accordance with the values measured with other methods.
