Static magnetization study of κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu[N(CN)2]Cl under high pressure Part 1. High magnetic fields

Delicate interplay between superconductivity and magnetism has been discovered recently in the title compound. However, magnetic properties of the salt were studied up to date either only at ambient pressure, where superconducting state does not manifest itself clearly, or under pressure, P<0.7 kbar, but only in low applied fields to 80G where, on the other side, the pressure induced volume superconductivity dominates. Present work shows a new magnetic phase diagram by extending the ranges of pressures and fields, to 1 kbar and 5.5 T, respectively.
