Abstract
Several derivatives of bis-fused donors, 2-(1,3-dithiol-2-ylidene)-5-(pyran-4-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene (PDT-TTP) and its thiopyran analogue (TPDT-TTP) have been prepared. Electrochemical properties of these donors were investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry and the X-ray crystal structure analysis was performed for bis(methylthio)-TPDT-TTP. The electrical conductivities of their TCNQ complexes and cation radical salts are fairly high (10−1 − 102 S•cm−1), and several salts show metallic temperature dependence of conductivity.
